DAY 01: HANOI – BABE LAKE About 350 km Leave Hanoi in the morning for 5-hrs drive to Ba Be National Park via Thai Nguyen. Afternoon take cruise boat (Rafting option) on the peaceful limestone lake of Ba Be, encircled by forest covered hills. Overnight at Ba Be National Park guesthouse. DAY 02: BABE Fullday trekking and climbing tour through primitive forest to the remote H’Mong village Hin Dam. The going is a bit tough through the forest but the view from the top, the pristine forest flora, medicinal plants and the opportunity to visit a remote hilltribe village make it a rewarding and unforgetable experience. Total walking time is around 6 hrs. Return to Park guesthouse for overnight. DAY 03: BABE Take a rafting across the lake to the Tay fishing village Coc Toc. After visiting the village with its fishermen and local handicrafts follow an easy trail through gardens and orchards to Bo Lu village. Leaving Bo Lu, the trail leads through dense forest with very old trees up to 2,000 years old. After an hour arrive at the picturesque village Pac Ngoi nestled between the forest and limestone cliffs at the mouth of the Cho Leng river. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon explore the village : take a ride in a dugout canoe, swim in the lake or take a ride by byke along the riverside trail. Dinner and overnight at the village. DAY 04: BABE – HANOI After breakfast return back to the Park headquarter by motorboat, then drive back to Hanoi. End of program.
