Information
Liquefied Petroleum Gas or LPG is a light hydrocarbon compound. Its main components are propane and butane. LPG is clean and can be stored and transported as a liquid under conditions of the average pressure at the ambient temperature. As such, LPG has become one of the important and popular fuels in Vietnam. The LPG market in Vietnam has been increasing rapidly in recent years: compared with 49,500 tons consumed in 1995, it increased to 322,375 tons in 2000, 783,706 tons in 2005 and approached 1,250,000 tons in 2011. The planned growth rate in 2012 will reach 3% demand on LPG.
